General Info for All Classes

Schedule:

Our school is not full-time childcare. Each class has its own schedule (see information below).

In addition, we follow the Springfield Public Schools calendar and are closed on holidays, breaks, and snow days whenever SPS is closed.

Potty Training:

We are not licensed to change diapers, so potty training or actively trying to potty train is a benefit. Students may wear diapers, but the staff will not be able to change them if the need arises or an accident happens.

Parent Involvement:

Parents (or another person from the child’s “village”) must volunteer in the classroom as a teacher helper two times each month. Parents are also expected to serve as active partners in their children’s education and assist with events and activities. Families are also welcome to serve as members of the board of directors.

Food:

Students will eat a morning snack (provided by the school) and will bring a lunch from home.

Parents are always welcome to provide snacks for the school. Fresh fruits or vegetables are preferred and must comply with allergy needs.
